Payment
- All commissions require a 50% deposit before work begins on them. The deposit is not refundable upon cancellation of the order.
- The remaining 50% payment is due before delivery of the completed costume, along with the cost of shipping if applicable. Orders will not be shipped or delivered in person until full payment is received.
- All payments will be requested via PayPal invoice. If the deposit invoice is left unpaid for 7 days, the commission slot is no longer held. If the final invoice is left unpaid for 30 days, the commission is considered cancelled, the deposit is not refunded, and the costume may be sold to recoup costs. If there are extenuating circumstances regarding payments, please do not hesitate to reach out.
- No payment plans are available. All orders must be paid for in two 50% payments.
- Client is responsible for all shipping expenses, as well as all duties, taxes, customs and/or import fees.
- If the number of hours taken on a commission exceeds an additional 20% over the hours in the quoted price, the commission will be paused to reevaluate the pricing with the client. This may involve an increase in price, leaving out certain details, or some other compromise in finishing.
- If the client is dissatisfied with the fit or finish of the costume, they may ship it back at their expense for alterations. Alterations that take more than 10% of the total labor hours of the commission will have an additonal charge negotiated. Some alterations may not be possible, but everything possible will be done, as client satisfaction is the priority.
Communication
- All communication about commissions will be over email.
- Client must send complete measurements before work begins on the order.
- Client must communicate any relevant allergies, such as wool or latex, before work begins on the order. Commissions are generally made in a pet free environment, but please communicate if there is a cat allergy, as some pieces may be exposed to cats.
- A limited number of edits are allowed during the build process, and progress pictures will be sent occasionally, sometimes requesting feedback. Clients should not email requesting progress pictures and should respond to feedback requests in a timely fashion.
Social Media and Credit
- Unless specifically requested otherwise, photos of the commission in process will be posted on social media.
- If the client posts photos of the costume on social media, credit is required.
- The costume may not be entered into a cosplay competition, unless it is only one piece of an otherwise self made costume and credit for the commissioned piece is properly given. The client may not claim that they made the commissioned costume themselves, in competition or otherwise.
